Word 2016: Inserting a Line Break

Objective:

·        Learn how to insert line breaks (text wrapping breaks) in a Word document.

Line Breaks

A line break forces the next text to the beginning of a new line without ending the current paragraph. To insert a line break:

·        Keyboard:

·        Type <Shift>+<Enter>.

·        Ribbon:

·        Click on the Layout tab.

·        In the Page Setup group, click on the Breaks button.

·        From the drop-down menu, click on Text Wrapping.

If the hide/show button https://p3plcpnl0895.prod.phx3.secureserver.net:2078/public_html/Word/2013/InsertingALineBreak_files/image001.jpg is pushed in, line breaks will appear as a square arrow at the end of the line, like this:
